Who We Are
The Amy Grace Letters is a service of Luz & Grace LLC, a limited liability company registered in the state of Idaho. We provide a monthly snail mail subscription that delivers a handcrafted letter, a small creative activity, and a small encouragement item to teenagers ages 13–18 in each mailing.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at amygrace.ceo@gmail.com.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to deliver our service. Here is exactly what we collect and why:
From the parent or guardian (the account holder):
- Full name — to identify the account holder
- Email address — for account communication, billing receipts, and service updates
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe (we never see or store your full card number)
From the teen (the recipient):
- First name only — so we can personalize their letters
- Age group (13–14, 15–16, or 17–18) — so content is developmentally appropriate
- Mailing address — so we can deliver the letters
What we do NOT collect:
- We do not collect the teen's full name, email, phone number, school, or social media handles
- We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking on our website
- We do not collect browsing behavior, location data, or device identifiers
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for these purposes only:
- To personalize and mail letters to your teen
- To process your subscription payment
- To send you account-related communications (billing confirmations, service updates)
- To improve the quality and safety of our content
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, behavioral targeting, or any purpose unrelated to delivering The Amy Grace Letters.
How Our Content Is Created
Transparency matters to us, especially when your teenager is the recipient. Here is how our content works:
The letters and activity materials in The Amy Grace Letters are created using artificial intelligence (AI) language models. These AI tools have been developed with extensive training in evidence-based adolescent psychology, therapeutic safety frameworks, and age-appropriate communication practices.
Every piece of content is safety-checked against clinical best practices in adolescent mental health before it is mailed. This includes screening for age-appropriateness, emotional safety, and alignment with established psychological principles.
Our content is not created or reviewed by licensed therapists, psychologists, counselors, or other mental health professionals. While our AI tools draw on extensive psychological research, AI-generated content has inherent limitations.
The Amy Grace Letters is a general wellness and encouragement service — not therapy, counseling, clinical treatment, crisis intervention, or a substitute for professional mental health care. We do not monitor, assess, diagnose, or treat any mental health condition. No professional relationship of any kind is created by this service. If your teen is experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional, call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or call 911.
How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable measures to protect your family's information:
- Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We never see or store full credit card numbers.
- Our website is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption
- Access to subscriber data is restricted to essential service operations only
No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your information with the care it deserves.
Cookies & Tracking
We keep this simple: we do not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or behavioral tracking.
The only cookies on our website are essential cookies set by our hosting provider (Netlify) for basic site functionality and security. When you make a payment, Stripe may set essential cookies required for secure transaction processing and fraud prevention.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, retargeting tools, or any other tracking technology. We do not build profiles of our visitors or share browsing data with anyone.
Our fonts are served through Bunny Fonts, a privacy-focused font service that does not track visitors or log personal data.
Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Stripe — processes subscription payments. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Netlify — hosts our website. Netlify may collect basic server logs (IP addresses, access times) for security and performance purposes. Netlify Privacy Policy
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond delivering our service.
Data Retention
We keep your data only as long as necessary:
- Teen data (first name, age group, mailing address) — retained during your active subscription and deleted within 60 days of cancellation
- Parent account data (name, email) — retained during your active subscription and deleted within 60 days of cancellation, except as required for tax and financial record-keeping
- Payment records — retained as required by tax law (typically up to 7 years), managed by Stripe
We do not retain data indefinitely. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted.
Your Rights as a Parent
As the parent or guardian who created the account, you have the right to:
- Review all information we hold about your teen
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your teen's information at any time
- Withdraw consent for data collection (by canceling the subscription)
